Build An Atom Lab: Students will construct hydrogen, helium, and nitrogen atoms from the periodic table. They will complete this activity by coloring, cutting out, and gluing electrons, protons, and neutrons into three different atoms and completing the student answer sheet (these are questions that help students figure out how many electrons, protons, and neutrons each atom has).
PURPOSE: The purpose of this activity is to learn how three subatomic particles (protons, neutrons, and electrons) can combine to form atoms of elements.
